New Patients

Initial Contact, Patient Forms, Map and Directions to Nashua Office

Your initial contact with our office will be received by our new patient coordinator, Kathy Valente. She will want to speak with you directly so that she can personally welcome you to our office and help you get prepared for your Initial Examination visit.

Your first visit to our office establishes a vital foundation for our relationship with you. You will be greeted by Kathy and she will remain with you throughout the visit. You will share your medical and dental history with her and we will focus on understanding your goals for health and your expectations from our services. Dr Machell will then join you and listen to a review of the information you shared. Next, a thorough examination will be conducted that will include an outside the mouth, head and neck exam and of course inside the mouth of all the hard and soft structures. In most cases an x-ray exam will be discussed and performed. We encourage you to bring or send in advance any recent x-rays that you had taken elsewhere. This will allow use to minimize the repeat of potentially unneccessary x-rays. Models of your teeth are very helpful to us and so we may ask you to have impressions taken or a digital scan done. We also find that  photographs of your teeth taken inside your mouth and your smile from the outside are valuable when we review our findings with you at your second visit which we call a Co Discovery visit.

Your Co Discovery visit is done with Dr. Machell in his treatment planning office. All of the information that was gathered during the initial visit is reviewed with you utilizing a computer presentation of your x-rays, models and photographs. This is the time that you will get a true understanding of how we can help you to embrace your health, your smile and your well being. You will choose your own method and the time in which you want to accomplish your goals. All of our staff members will team with you and help you along the way.

Now that you know what to expect for your first visit to our practice, please browse through our website. You'll find all the practical information you need, such as a map and directions to our office, practice hours, payment policies and more. There is also background information about our committed staff. You can even save some time at your first visit by printing out and completing the patient forms in advance of your appointment. Don't forget to ask for help arranging the forwarding of your recent x-rays.
